This is the post I am posting concerning my lust for a Gensomaiden Saiyuki!AU, wherein I basically write a story based loosely on Saiyuki and substitute the amazing characters with bandboys. Lol.

I will summarise it for you briefly (and probably not entirely accurately) before you read on:

'Saiyuki!' is generally the Japanese translation of 'Journey to the West!' In the story, a Buddhist Priest is charged by the three Aspects (gods) of Shangri La (Paaaraaaadiiiise) to take a team of men and travel to the West: the source of an evil magic that is making the youkai (demons) across the world go berserk and eat people and stuff. Which sucks because most of them have wives and kids and stuff by now.

That team is known as the Sanzo Ikkou, or something vaguely similar (cba to check, I am so legit) and although they don't always get on, their fates are twisted together with the threads of destiny.

That's where our boys come in...

The story would probably follow the rough canon of the manga, but ultimately climax sooner, probably with a slightly different ending. After all- the manga takes place over the course of about nine years, and no one wants to be dragged into the epic-ness that is all-that-filler now, do they?

So, tell me what you think. I am excited, and if you are not excited, I will cry. Ask questions and I will try to answer them, suggest alternatives, point out big fat gaps in my skewed logic. HAVE A BALL.
